Fr. Truc is one of ten children. His family immigrated here in 1975 with his family and settled in California. He attended school and eventually received a BS in engineering from the University of California in Irvine and Cal Poly Pomona. Eight years later, he answered the calling to become a priest and was ordained in 2000. He holds a Master’s Degree in Canon Law and a Pontifical Licentiate Degree.
In his last parish appointment, Fr. Truc was appointed Administrator of Cathedral Chapel of St. Vibiana and in November 2010 appointed pastor of Pastor of Cathedral Chapel by Archbishop Jose Gomez. After 14 years of pastorship at Cathedral Chapel, Fr. Truc's tenure ended. He joined us at here at St. Maria Goretti Parish in July of 2024.
Fr. Truc is known for his genuine compassion and love for each member of the congregation. He takes the time to listen, understand, and support them in their spiritual journeys and daily lives. His personal commitment to God and the teachings of the Church serve as a guiding light for others. He leads by example, demonstrating humility, integrity, and a profound sense of service.
He actively fosters a sense of community and belonging within the parish, where everyone feels valued and welcomed. He promotes unity and solidarity, emphasizing the importance of supporting one another in faith and in life's challenges. His leadership empowers others to become active participants in spreading the word of God through their thoughts, words, and actions, ultimately strengthening the bonds of faith and community.
